Hi there, and welcome. If you’ve found your way here, chances are you are someone who cares about doing things differently.
Maybe you’ve felt the sting of a toxic workplace, struggled with confidence in environments that seemed designed to undermine it, or questioned whether the way things have “always been done” is actually the best way forward. If that sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.
This newsletter exists because we believe those questions matter—and because we’ve lived them too.
Why Write This?
Let’s back up a bit. For years, we operated within various environments. Some were more challenging than others, because they didn’t just challenge us—they clashed with our values. Sounds familiar? We were left asking questions like:
Why does speaking up feel like a risk instead of a contribution?
Why do toxic dynamics persist, even in organisations that claim to care about their people?
And most importantly: How do we navigate all this while staying true to ourselves?
These weren’t just philosophical musings. They were personal. They shaped how we made decisions, set boundaries, and ultimately redefined success on our own terms. We learned (sometimes the hard way) that there are better ways to approach work—and life. That there’s power in saying, “Never again.”
Power in setting standards and saying NO to anything that doesn’t align. And it’s this perspective, shaped by my experiences and principles, that we would like to share here.
Who This Is For
This newsletter is for:
Professionals in toxic workplaces who are navigating, trying to escape, or heal from the harm they’ve experienced.
Leaders who want to rethink how they build teams and create cultures that prioritise people over profits.
Anyone who feels stuck in a system that wasn’t designed with them in mind and is looking for a way forward.
It’s for people who are tired of the status quo and ready to question it. Not because it’s trendy, but because doing the same thing over and over just isn’t working anymore.
What You Can Expect Here
We will share posts that explore:
Boundary-setting: What it looks like to prioritise your needs in environments that often ignore them.
Toxic culture red flags: How to spot them, navigate them, and (when possible) avoid them altogether.
LOUD & CLEAR principles and frameworks: This is something I’ll talk about often—a framework I am building and have been using to identify what’s worth fighting for, walking away from, or rethinking entirely. I’ll also share stories—my own, and those of others—because it’s through storytelling that we often see the patterns we’ve been missing.
Why Now?
There’s a lot of noise out there about how to “succeed,” “thrive,” or “hack” your way to the top. But too often, that advice glosses over the human cost of getting there—or what it means to stay aligned with your values along the way. I started this newsletter because I wanted to offer something different. Not a list of quick fixes, but a space for reflection, questioning, and growth. Ultimately, this is about creating a community of people who aren’t afraid to say, “There has to be a better way”—and then go out and find it.
